摘要

Recent global data reveal that nearly 50% of dental implants face peri-implant disease challenges within ten years of functional loading. We understand the inflammatory response associated with ailing and failing dental implants is multi-factorial, often resulting in progressive loss of surrounding hard and/or soft tissues. Despite growing awareness, treatment protocols remained inconclusive due to variability in individual biological responses and site-specific factors.

This presentation will explore clinical decision-making strategies for managing peri-implant soft tissue complications in ailing and failing implants. Emphasis will be placed on identifying contributing periimplant local factors, evaluating the timing of surgical intervention, and selecting appropriate treatment modalities to stabilize or regenerate the peri-implant soft tissue. Through case-based discussions, clinicians may gain practical insights into optimizing clinical outcomes.
